Other notable individual antioxidant constituents of thyme identified by in vitro assays include thymol, carvacrol, p-cymene, γ-terpinone, terpinolene, and some flavonoids. Thyme contains many flavonoids, phenolic antioxidants like zeaxanthin, lutein, pigenin, naringenin, luteolin, and thymonin.
