Holy basil, or Tulsi, is a super herb plant that has been used for centuries by herbalists and Ayurvedic medicine as an “adaptogen”. It carries flavonoids and phenolics, both known for antifungal properties and its PTSD relief. The essential oils in the leaves of Tulsi are a particularly rich source of valuable phytochemicals. The rich health benefits of this Eastern Herb is why it is a base for many of Zen’s Tea Proprietary Blends:

Holy Detox Tea – used to flush the system of toxins (no rush to the bathroom)

Dream of Flowers Tea – a relaxing bed time blend to help with anxiety and restlessness

Congest-Less Tea – natural relief of coughing, sneezing and sore throat.

Tea Safety Disclaimer- Holy Basil (Tulsi) is not recommended during pregnancy. Traditional use does not establish pregnancy safety, and adequate human safety studies are lacking. Holy Basil may affect blood sugar and blood clotting. Consult your healthcare provider before use.
