Pu-erh Green Tea
Package size2 oz 8 oz 1 pound
Commonly referred to as “the Dim Sum” tea due to its popular use as a digestive aid after eating heavy or greasy meals. Pu-erh tea is made from the leaves and stems of the Camellia sinensis plant. This is the same plant that is used for making green, oolong, and black teas. Pu-erh Tea undergoes a long period of aging for better flavor. This particular grade of Pu-erh has been aged for +15 years.
Spelled Pu-erh or Puerh or Pu erh green tea is enjoyed by the Chinese as a health aid. This tea was featured on the Dr. OZ show.
Zen's Pu-erh has an earthy taste and can be brewed 5-7 times per teaspoon, so be sure to not throw away the tea leaves! After the first brew, add 1-2 minutes for every brew that follows. For example, the second brew can be brewed for 2-3 minutes, the third brew can be brewed for 4-5 minutes, etc.

We enjoy the earthiness of Pu-erh tea. Our most recent purchase is not as umami-forward as what we have enjoyed in the past.
I love the pu-erh tea! I like that it is a smooth, caffeinated tea that stands up to milk as well as tastes smooth yet bold and flavorful. Some black teas are a bit bitter, but not this one. Zen's Teas are also cost effective (compare an 8 oz bag that lasts for MANY cups of tea to a small box of 14 or 20 tea bags you find in the grocery stores).
i thought it good taste. Just had to add alittle honey to it. Hoping to see my LDL go down, lololol I will continue to drink it.
