Passionflower, botanical name Passiflora incarnata is a folk remedy commonly used for anxiety. This plant is native to the southeastern United States, and Central and South America. Passionflower is used by mouth for sleep problems (insomnia), anxiety, adjustment disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), pain, fibromyalgia, relieving opioid withdrawal symptoms, reducing anxiety and nervousness before surgery, and heart failure.
