I love that it doesn't have a wired after taste like most other teas.

Golden milk

It’s ok. A bit chalky and hard to dissolve in milk. Maybe I’ll try it in hot milk.

Description

St John’s Wort has been used historically in diverse parts of the world to improve a variety of bodily functions, specifically for neurological imbalances. St. John’s wort is a small flowering plant of Hypericum perforatum, which grows wild in Europe, but has since spread to the Americas, Russia, Asia, China, and the Middle East. Today it is commonly referred to as a natural mood stabilizer.

Taste
St. John’s Wort has a spicy yet sweet taste. Easy to mix with different teas. How to blend teas video, Click Here.

What St John’s Wort can do
The chemical constituents of St. John’s wort include bioflavonoids and a range of antioxidants that can have a significant impact on the hormonal, physical, and chemical behavior of the body. St. John’s wort is most commonly used for “the blues” or depression and symptoms that sometimes go along with moods such as nervousness, tiredness, poor appetite, and trouble sleeping.

Health benefits

  • Antidepressant: It contains a rare combination of antidepressant chemicals that inhibit or delay the reuptake of certain neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine.
  • Menopause: its chemical constituents can help to reduce mood swings and symptoms such as hot flashes and mood changes in menopausal women. Moreover, they reduce the severity of cramping and premenstrual irritation, and depression.
  • Wound Healing: St. John’s wort as a topical application in the form of a salve or tincture could help to improve wound healing such as burns, bruises, and scrapes and reduce scar formation

Grown in Europe & hand-packed in the USA.

Not for me

The taste was simply not for me. My mom on the other hand liked it. It did not have a pleasant smell to me despite all the honey I poured into it. Normally, I drink my tea with no sugar of any kind.
