Have you Googled Best Tea for Pregnancy? If so you may have found an over whelming amount of information. Below is a summary email response to Moringa tea for expecting mothers.

Moringa Leaf Tea: There are many articles that promote moringa tea to pregnant women. Here is an article from International Journal of Scientific and Research Publications (Volume 5, Issue 2, February 2015) that discusses the health benefits of Moringa for women and their babies.

The summary is: “In conclusion, Moringa oleifera leaf extracts have significant effect to increase hemoglobin level in pregnant women, could prevent ferritin serum dismount to 50%. Low-birth-weight was not found on the pregnant women in intervention group, while there are 3.20% low-birth-weight in the pregnant women in control group.”
The reason why the stems are not advertised is because the focus is on the leaves. By default the stems carry the nutrients but the are essentially the same plant. Here is a summary point of the same article: “Moringa Oleifera leaves have long been used to overcome the problem of malnutrition among children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding.”
The majority of the moringa tea we carry is leaf but many of the leaves are connected to the stems. The moringa tea we have is organic and hand assembled and to remove the stems you can so by hand. We remove the stems from of all of our teas but inevitably stems do end up in the tea. Since 2012 we have been selling moringa tea to hundreds of pregnant women and we have never heard any complaints. Many of them have shared their success with other expecting mothers.
