ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: is the branch of public health that focuses on the interrelationships between people and their environment, promotes human health and well-being, and fosters healthy and safe communities. All living creatures are affected by their environment. Social health can be a reflection of our environment but it also can have a huge effect on our environment.
Environmental health sciences are all around us: in food, water, and in the air we breathe. The environment consists of the things we encounter every day. SOCIAL HEALTH: one’s ability to form meaningful relationships with other people and interact in healthy, positive ways. The way we connect to the people around us, adapt to different social situations, and experience a sense of belonging, all contribute to Social Health.
The Social Determinants of Health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live and age. They have a large influence on our health. It also determines health inequities, which is the unfair and avoidable health difference between different groups of people.
